One of my pen pals lives in England. She sent me a wonderful collection of photos from a trip to the coast, including puffins. She travels a couple of times a year and has been working on her drawing and watercolor skills in art journals. I thought it would be nice to send her a mini travel journal that she could use on a future trip.
Now that she has emailed to say she received it, I can post the photos.
I’m looking forward to making one of these for myself.
Do you keep any kind of writing or art journal?
What is your process?
I’ve never really used a travel journal before but you know, if I ever do find myself getting ready to go on a trip, I do think it’d be fun to make a travel journal for it to write some thoughts in, stick things in and do some sketching…just have to plan a trip first!

I understand Emma. A trip sounds lovely!
I haven’t used one either, but I’m always picking up bits of paper to save as I travel, and it might be nice to get in the habit of writing notes to go with them at the end of each day and putting a journal together when I get home.
I don’t know when I would have time to do that, but it’s a nice idea.

It does sound like a lovely idea – you know, journalling is something I really need to make more of an effort to do more because I find it so easy to forget to do.

I really enjoy it myself. I’m hoping to start having a journal in progress all the time starting this year.
